Erratum for Kayaks Of Greenland
Entered May 14th, 2007: It has just come to my attention that several of the survey drawings (plates) in Kayaks Of Greenland have issues with the scale
and the cited dimensions-- particularly with the beam and depths of these kayaks. Essentially, a calipered breadth touched to the scale in the upper left corner would
result in a different figure than I had listed in the drawing's heading in the upper right. After consulting both my survey notes and the original inkings, I have
determined that these plates have been inserted in my book with slightly dis-proportionate re-sizing-- they are squished vertically slightly. The following plates are thus
affected, and following the plate & catalog numbers are
the percentages that all vertical (height/breadth) measurements fall short as well as a factor to
multiply to any heights and breadths taken from the drawings that will result in accurate figures.
