Three-hole Pacific Yupik Kayak
--A miniaturized light-weight touring kayak--

I designed this kayak to be as long as a traditional Pacific Yupik one-hole kayak (around 14'-15' long) for use as an easy-to-load single, or as a kayak I can take my son and wife out in for day trips. It measures 14'10" long, 27-1/2" wide, and it weighs just 30#.

Note the mast step on the keelson, and the partner under the deck stringer.

Rigged and ready for sailing.

Launched May, 2011.

As above with ninety pounds less load. It paddled as well as my Kodiak Island single, which it greatly resembles, albeit with two more "holes" in it.
